Trail in Archbald Featured Setting of Children's Book "Wartz & All"
This lovely little pond helped to inspire the setting of "Wartz & All," a children's book authored by Scranton resident Jeannine M Luby with illustrations by Clarks Summit resident Mindy Mendicino. Thanks in part to a 2012 Lackawanna County Community Arts & Culture grant, the ideas and characters in Jeannine's imagination have come to life. The main character, a little frog named "Wartz" learns about accepting himself and others, as they accept him, with warts and all. Be sure to visit the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail in Jessup and Archbald to see the beautiful scenery and take a hike, walk, run or bike ride. There will also be some exciting activities to get you out there having fun like Wartz and all of his friends! On July 25 there will be a reading of the book and a fall event is currently being planned. For more details, visit Wartz And All.com
